We’re waiting

I guess you could say we are waiting. Waiting for the next time David will get sick. Waiting for the doctors to say they have to take his kidney out. Well, the good news is the he should not get as sick anymore.

He got home Monday night. I enjoyed last night. The whole family was home and we were able to spend some time together. Granted it was brief and mainly trying to get the kids to bed. It was nice. I miss that routine.

This morning was not the routine I was looking for though. David was cranky. Denise thinks that might be a sign he is getting sick again.

This was on Sunday when we sped some time at the hospital. We took cards that David’s class made for him. Devri and David read them. I thought David might struggle reading some of the handwriting from his classmates, no. He read them all.

Here is the pair. What a silly bunch.

Anyway, gotta go work.

Devri’s new bed

October 5, 2008 at 9:27 am (journal)

Well, a few weeks have passed since I have posted anything simply because I have been busy. Life has not slowed down in the least. David has been in the hospital for the past week. Devri has still been doing her usual stuff. At least we have been trying to keep things going as usual.

Last weekend we went to the store to buy Devri’s new bed. On Friday I went by the hospital to visit David and then go pick the bed up. This was a huge deal for Devri when she saw it in her room for the first time yesterday. She then wanted nothing but Hanna Montana sheets on her bed. So, she and I took a little trip to pick the sheets up.

Devri and Lexi checking out the new bed.

And Devri with the new sheets.

Well, that is now for the moment.
