Yeah, the surprise birthday party is done; a month in the planning and over in a flash.

Denise was somewhat surprised. Pulling off a complete surprise was difficult. She had an idea from time to time that something was up. I just wanted Denise to enjoy herself while seeing a group of people that care about her. I invited people from all areas of her life. Her family and a small group of Homemade Gourmet friends showed up. And Michelle helped pull this off. I hope Michelle knows how much I appreciate her help.

Denise’s mom also played an important role. She kept Denise away yesterday and bought the cake this week.

I got Denise something she has been wanting for a long time; a Kitchen Aid mixer.

Happy 40^th Denise.

In other news, this will be the second to the last night of my design class. Still need to finalize all design in the group project and the individual project. One of our group members has been gone for a few weeks because her boyfriend was in the hospital. We will pick up tonight with what she has done.
