Revision of dentist brochure
Well, here is the revised version that started out in InDesign and then I converted it to PDF. Imagine an 8.5 X 11 page. It is on a large page to cur for the bleeds on the page. dentist
Design work
I wanted to show a design that I recently did in class. Actually haven’t received the grade back on this yet. This is just the design, I do better work in InDesign. I also wanted to experiment with putting something like this up on the blog. I have seen others do it. dentist
Saturday Fun
We arrived to a wedding of one of Denise’s friends. Devri went to a cheerleading camp in the morning.
The wedding was short. The reception was brief as well, but the punch and cake were good.
The bride, Mindy, and Denise; friends since middle school.
Devri turned the camera on us now.
I didn’t really crop the last one. Little Devri wanted to do some live cropping and only take picture of mommy. Well, she figured it out, why not?

now, a picture of Dad doing what I love; stirring the pot of beer. I really do love the smell of the hops as they are in the boil. The smell stays in my nose all day.
This goes to show that a 5 year old is either really gifted with a camera or these gadgets are so easy a five year old can use them.
She did pretty good on this one.

One last garden picture next to the tomato plants. These have been putting on some nice tomatoes in the last few weeks. We have to get to them before the birds do.
Now to the real hard work. Devri insists on helping me in any project I am doing. Here she is helping stir the brew pot right after we added the dry extract. I am making an American Bock. The next day it blew out the top of the carboy and foam flowed down the side of the carboy. I used a dry yeast and am surprised at how quick and active it was. Nice dark color.
This is David helping stir. He loves his glasses. i am so happy to have the new stir spoon. My wife is probably happy I am not going to use her cooking spoons anymore. This one is long. Should have put a towel around the carboy before it flowed over.
Weekend fun – 2
Devri is a fantastic helper. When I am frustrated with life I have learned to think about these moments with the kids.
Again, real lucky to have her pose. She is standing next to the cantoloupe vines.
And here are the watermelon vines. They are also looking good. This started out as an experiment to see if seedlings would grow and then transplant them to the ground. But, the seedlings did not grow as well as I wanted. These grew best after just putting the seeds in the gound.
Then she wanted another picture of me.

Oh, there’s Daddy. she is eager to take pictures. Her results are what is fun.
A little weekend fun.
Here is a picture of Devri next to the roses. she usually does not like to pose. This was a very lucky shot.
So then she wanted to take a picture of me.
We worked around the garden for a while while the water heated up for brewing of the beer.
Temptation get behind me
one and a half dozen donuts still in the breakroom. I passed by and did not eat any. Yeah.
The girl at the front desk took a pile back to her desk.

Isn’t that a beautiful picture. That is exactly what helped me blow it for today.
I ate one. I hate one. I love three. But i did not eat three.
I ate one.
It looked that good in the break room. Two dozen of the little diet busters are still waiting for me.
Does that make me strong to resist eating more. One time, back when I really was fat, I ate three donuts in about 10 seconds. Not kidding. I wrote about how I am trying to lose weight and keep it off. See, I am changing. Back when I ate three at warp speed the sugar rush and delicious taste is all I wanted. I wasn’t thinking of the long term effects. That was so stupid.
So, now comes the penance.
